100% Yield Project

Quality Improvement Activities

We are committed to improving product quality and are working towards achieving a 100% yield rate. Specifically, we are reviewing and improving the manufacturing process, eliminating waste, and aiming to ensure stable quality.

Spiral-up activities

Improvement activities

Through small group activities, we promote business improvements and the proposal of new ideas, creating an environment where all employees can actively engage. While this is typically referred to as QC (Quality Control) activities, we view the spiral (spiral-up) as "continuation," aiming to sustainably improve both quality and motivation. Thus, we position these activities as "Spiral-up activities." This approach allows each employee's creativity to be utilized, driving the overall growth of the organization.

PM Certification System

Human Resource Development

We aim for continuous, uninterrupted operation of equipment by strengthening Preventive Maintenance (PM) in the manufacturing site. Specifically, we conduct required training and hands-on practice for all operators, and those who pass the examination are certified as PM-certified personnel. This initiative not only improves equipment uptime but also enhances operators' understanding of maintenance, ensuring sustainable equipment operation.

The Quality Assurance Department takes the lead in conducting regular activities across all departments (once a week). Based on the principle of "input materials are output as 100% good products," we are promoting improvement activities aimed at reducing and ultimately eliminating defects within the process.

Activity Example

In the initial stages of the activity, the yield distribution of a certain product assembly was scattered. After focusing on improving the die-bonding process (such as improvements to equipment and mechanisms), the yield distribution gradually concentrated toward the 100% side over the course of four years, resulting in an ideal outcome.

Activity Overview

In addition to discussions in the conference room, we conduct improvement activities based on the "Gemba" (3G) principle, where we confirm the actual site, material, and conditions. Engineers and operators are involved in the process as we work together to implement improvements.

Each workplace forms a circle and conducts small-group improvement activities.
We hold presentations on the results of these activities twice a year, in June and December, to promote employee growth and foster teamwork through improvement activities.
Each circle is engaged in a wide range of improvement activities, such as increasing the yield of products, taking countermeasures against defects, and increasing multi-skilled workers, which are highly appreciated by customers and suppliers.
We also have a commendation system for our activities, which motivates our employees.

To achieve the goal, we will execute the PDCA cycle multiple times over the course of six months, continuously checking progress and making improvements, ensuring that we steadily deliver results.

To realize the ideal state, we are strengthening Preventive Maintenance (PM) with full participation from everyone, including the manufacturing site. We provide required education and practical training for all workers, and those who pass the exams become certified PM personnel.
PM-certified personnel are ranked as SST, SLK, and SMO, and through continuous training and certification, we aim to elevate their skills and expertise.

Certified individuals who pass the exams are awarded badges as a recognition of their achievements.

Our Company in terms of BCP

Our company has established an excellent system from the perspective of BCP (Business Continuity Plan). Located in an area less susceptible to the impact of natural disasters, we ensure a stable production environment, enabling us to respond quickly to unexpected troubles. In addition to land transportation, we leverage our proximity to an airport to facilitate rapid air transport, significantly improving delivery speed and allowing us to respond flexibly to customer needs. By combining land and air transport, we achieve efficient and stable supply, providing a reliable environment from a BCP standpoint. As a result, we ensure stable supply to our customers and can build long-term business relationships.
